  If I could not give it a star, that would be a great start!!
  This Hotel is awful, coupled by its ignorant staff and outdated decor, the Haycock offers nothing but a LACK of personal service. The manager, Chris is the most useless person I've ever met! I don't know why he's in the business- not welcoming at all.
  
  The breakfast arrived with a small hair on it and smelt bad. Maybe thats why the hotel has a 2* hygiene rating. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

  On the outside, this hotel looks to be a fantastic, boutique building that could have a lot of character and offer its guests a very enjoyable stay.
  
  Unfortunately, upon entering, the whole hotel has a 'could do better' feel to it. The decor is odd and changed from room to room with no real underlying theme. Generally the place is quite tatty and unkept which is such a shame for such a magnificent building in a beautiful location.
  
  The staff were very helpful, having given us a choice of room when we arrived. Our first choice of room was not at all comfortable- paint was falling off the walls and once again, the decor was shabby and a very nasty blue.
  
  The receptionist was very helpful when we asked to see another choice of room and actually upgraded us to a far more grand bedroom but still, the room looked as though it could do with some TLC- there were stains on the carpet and chairs.
  
  The breakfast was disappointing for the price, as was the dinner.
  
  All in all, this hotel could be absolutely fantastic but it was a very disappointing stay.

  Came here for a wedding reception. It looked spectacular and the staff were all friendly. Would definitely come here again.
